Patti Drew, the orig version of "Workin' on a Groovy Thing", later covered by the 5th Dimension.

Followed by Clarence Carter's "Tell Daddy", the male version of Etta James' "Tell Mama".

CG-ing in lieu of KBCO, and happily Greg is subbing for their PM-drive guy.  And playing not only T.Rex's "Telegram Sam" but -- OMGWTF -- Wham's little-heard "Club Tropicana".

Been checking out the 'BCO A-Z thing this am--heard Garcia's Deal into Dear God, Dear Mr. Fantasy, and Dear Prudence. Not bad--those first two are a segue I can't say I'd ever heard before.

Have the dreaded Ten A.M Meeting this morning, so I'll miss at least the first part of the set and probably all of it. Have fun guys--I'm feeling '76 today--I'll be curious how close that is to reality.
Let's get right to it.

CG plays another of Boney M's godawful eurotrash disco hits.  Man, they really sucked. "Rah-Rah, Ras-pu-teen/Russia's famous love machine"

Yikes.

Phil Oakey/Giorgio Moroder, "Together in Electric Dreams", one of my fave '80s British hits that (criminally) flopped in the US.

WLNG Nugget o'the Day: the post-Diana Supes, "Everybody's Got the Right To Love".

I hear Miss Ross (she da Boss) was on Letterman claiming she "hasn't had time" to see Dreamgirls yet.

VIP takes the "5th" and surrys on down to a Stoned Soul Picnic.

it wasn't until I heard the Laura Nyro version recently that I realized the line is "There'll be trains of blossoms".  I thought it was "trains of possums".  Stoned Roadkill Picnic?

Edwin Starr's "Time", clearly a follow-up to "War".  "Time! what is a good rhyme? Absolutely nuthin'!"
