"fine line between stupid & clever" --> "Living on a Thin Line" --> "Thin Line Betw Love & Hate", Pretenders

Not to mention the connection between Ray Davies & Chrissie Hynde around this time.

I remember being totally gobsmacked, having always assumed he was gay.

I remember being totally gobsmacked, having always assumed he was gay.

He certainly seemed to play up that image, starting with Lola of course, but also via a fairly fey onstage persona.
Let's get right to it.

"He said 'hey, are you gay? Can you come out to play?' And like a fool I went and said OK."

TANC: the "Movies!" channel (195 on Comcast in SF) is showing Tap tonite, Friday at 9:10. There are commercials but they don't edit movies for time.

Tuned in just in time for a Spinal Tap click and the Kinks, Living on a Thin Line. Not one of their more notable songs, but a VHM nonetheless.

But employed very well in a memorable Sopranos episode
Slipping into something
And out of something else
