8/14 - Woodstock
======================
Green River - CCR
Freedom - Richie Havens
Suite: Judy Blues Eyes - CSNY

Try - Janis Joplin/BBHC
We're Not Gonna Take It - The Who
Going Up to the Country - Canned Heat

Richie Havens was a busy guy today, his Freedom appeared in all three Woodstock themed sets (The Peak, KFOG and The Sound).

(The Sound intern credited Suite: Judy Blue Eyes to CSN. They left the "Y" off...)

we start with Richie Havens' Freedom -- which how the movie Woodstock starts, too, correct?  Oh well, it's a classic.

then John Sebastian does Darlin' Be Home Soon  -- a beautiful song, just him and his guitar, but JB does this exaggerated "phew" thing right before the last line that sort of sticks out like a sore hip(pie).

Heard a bit of the Babys Isn't It Time (I listed during a lull in KFOG's set -- maybe during Suzanne Vega?)

some semi-obscure Steve Miller cut...

BOS to Alice Cooper You And Me

here's Rammstein Black Betty

seems like mostly the usual suspects, but isn't it always like that?

Get off my lawn!   No hippies here, all you woodstockers will have to do your free love somewhere else.

It's a Mark Knopfler fest (solo, Dire Straits, and Notting hillbillies)  and I am bailing after these two first two choice cuts.

They began w Telegraph Road and tune #2 was Solid Rock

see ya

Let's hope he's not sitting on a park bench somewhere, eyeing little girls with bad intent.  (actually, I think he has a sheep farm in Scotland or something ... living a good proper life).

oh my, XTC's Ballet For A Rainy Day/1000 Umbrellas/Seasons Cycle

I never knew about XTC beyond their hits -- and still don't know much else now, really -- but I can see why they had a following based on this song cycle.

we must give this a BOS
