per the just-aired Annalisa promo.  I may skip out early if it's not compelling.

Being as the MS gang is out at the Cliff House, I realized we were in for a classic, particularly when Dave offered Charles another glass of champagne. Was hoping for something older than yesterday's gem, but alas, no.

Hey POC, did you record last night? Or did the Jackson Browne song scotch the whole deal? I was out at the Music Hall watching a reunited 80s indie band (Slint) that my wife loved and that nearly put me to sleep (the lingering jet lag helped).
Let's get right to it.

"Radio-Active". Which they hoped it'd be, airplay-wise. Not an auspicious start, IMHO.

see, what had happened was...

i bought cassettes. i was home around nine, started practicing, looked at the clock, it said 10:34.
:(
i'll blame it all on jackson browne.

what time does the replay begin in the morning? i can probably catch it then. if so i'll make you a copy.

I like it.

This is Ramones isn't it?  or someone trying to sound like them?

Hands-down BOS: Bonzo Goes to Bitburg!!!!

I don't recall ever hearing this before--and I love this song, so I think I would have.
Let's get right to it.

BOS Ramones, just saw "School of Rock" again the other nite and this is used effectively in a musical montage moment.

Yep, definitely Ramones (which I didn't say specifically in my last post). Surprised that they could get Johnny to play on it, given his conservative leanings.

Nobody "sounds like" Joey

It's "Bonzo Goes to Bitburg".  Is this '84 or '85?  We did '85 less than 3 weeks ago.

I missed the intro to the set--I assume this is '85? That's the year I associate with the Firm and the Fogerty comeback, and Green Grow the Rushes.

In any case, not too bad a set for mid-80s. At least so far. Hope I didn't jinx us.
