BOS (and nice segue) to tina and bryan.

Not particularly wild about either song, but the seque from Kyrie Eleison (sp?) to the Cougar tune was pretty seamless. Nice.
Let's get right to it.

amy grant's "el shaddai" - which came later, of course.
We have to play this song from time to time at church, but for me I'm almost positive this contains some ripped off melodies from Stevie Wonder.  I haven't been able to figure it out for over a decade.  Am I insane?

i don't see the connection. but that doesn't mean much...maybe the descending and ascending chord patterns remind you of "don't you worry 'bout a thing?"
Oh well, I guess my dreams of the Christian music companies getting taken to court for plagiarism will have to wait!

I think I'm misremembering "El Shaddai," but isn't it more or less the same melody as the Beatles' "I Me Mine"?

dude - turn up the foreigner. yes!

i would be a total sap if i voted this bos. but i really want to.

no shame to vote this BOS! their crowing achievement, and the gospel version by the NJ Mass Choir (on their own) kicks ass.

Hey, all. It's been a busy morn here at Dayjob From Hell, Inc. I just wanted to thank POC, RGMike & Lightnin' Rod for making the scene on Saturday to celebrate 40 years of Beejness. YOU GUYS RULE!

(as does everyone here of course)

i'm glad you turned 40. i had fun! :) and we met rod's hottie!

My B-day is Sunday after next and PoC's is four Sundays later.  Would y'all be up for another BBQ fest at chez Castro Valley somewhere in between?

Stop, you're making me blush.  We had a good time, sorry we were late...  Would have liked to seen Amelia play.

Btw, where in Albany were you playing, POC?

Even the inevitable Huey can't ruin this surprisingly strong set.
