Gil Gross of KGO is a Facebook friend of mine -- we worked together at ABC 20 years ago. He posted this as his FB status today:

"John McCain, who was OK with Gays in the military, now isn't. So does this mean John goes both ways?"

wow, I never would have guessed from her on-air persona that LG harbored anything like these convictions.  She just shot way up in my estimation.

..and am I the only one who thinks her photo looks a lot like latter day Joanna Kerns (last seen as Alison's mom in Knocked Up)?

She doesn't blog frequently but when she has she generally swings way to the left.

Kinda sad how at least 3 or 4 of the 9 blog comments comment on the length of the piece, and how it's too long for them to read. Jeez, people, just how long is your attention span anyway?
Let's get right to it.

heads up: she'll have another piece on Sarah Palin later today..

she could be briefer, IMHO, but you are so right that people don't like to read anything longer than 140 characters.

the Daily Show did a great bit about how this weekend we had Reagan's Birthday, the Super Bowl and the Tea Party Convention all at once -- "it's an AMERIGASM!"

I wonder if anyone will organize counter-celebrations.  Reagan caused so much harm to this country.  I can't bear all this fake mythology.

Anti-tax nutjob burns down his house, then flies a plane into IRS offices in Texas:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/chronicle/6873108.html?tsp=1

Looking forward to

1) watching the teabaggers and Faux News try to spin this as not being "domestic terorism" or in any way connected to their anti-gov't hysteria

2) watching MSNBC being equally hysterical in re: (1) above.

Larry Grogan of the Funky 16 Corners blog, got into an argument on his FB page with some right winger, re: teachers who are protesting NJ's pay freeze. Quote of the Day, from Larry:

"Right wing hostility toward teachers is one of the strangest phenomena I've ever seen. Is it a Freudian revenge fantasy for perceived slights in childhood, or just a calculated attempt to keep the masses ignorant? I suspect it's a little bit of both. I'm also continually shocked that anyone with an ounce of artistic impulse would ally themselves with the organized forces of ignorance."

Roy Ashburn, the anti-gay GOP State Senator who was arrested for DUI, may or may noy have been at a gay bar before his arrest:

He sure looks like a mincing queen to me.  ;)  How come ugly closeted guys get laid more often than I do?
