Ugh, totally agree with you on "I'm Alright".  Apart from "Whenever I Call You Friend", Kenny Loggins just grates.

about 5 years ago the Castro did a triple-bill: Roller Boogie, Skatetown USA and of course the ONJ/Gene Kelly extravaganza.  I couldn't make it to the end of Xanadu, it's really bad filmmaking and not in a fun way.  But Linda Blair in Roller Boogie -- yowsah!

Big news: no more Casey on 1550-AM; True Oldies Channel is gone and in its place is an Indian format. Here's Oldies 103.7's chance to pick up AT40 (hopefully both versions).

Wow, #40, Peoples Choice's "Ah Likes To Do It" is edited down to a tight minute-and-20-seconds! But fab stuff so far; a rare countdown with *8* debut songs. BOS1 Ms King's "So Far Away".

Guess Who ask "where'd ya get the gun, John?". BOS2 Stevie -- this debuted in September? I always remembered it as a summer song.

VHM "Paul" Stookey; BOS3 Bobby Russell and Harry the dog with the best Roger Miller imitation ever.

BOS4 the J-5's fantabulous "Maybe Tomorrow" *swoon*! Proxy of cairo, BS&T.

I can't honestly BOS "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" but I'm still flabbergasted that Mac & Katie Kissoon are black.

Mmmmmm... purple flowers for breakfast...

BOS5 the loooong version of Tom Clay's "What the World..." which remains one of the most amazing Top40 hits ever -- cheesily over-the-top at times but heartfelt and moving.

Lawd'a'mercy! Our Hour 1 "extra" is Denise LaSalle's "Trapped by a Thing Called Love".  BOS6.

Hour 2 begins with another severe edit: "Indian Reservation", on its way down and out. VHM Rev. Al's first pop hit; ditto ONJ with hers: the EZ-listening take on "If Not For You" was scorned at the time but it's rather sweet and underrated IMHO.

BOS7 George's "Bangla Desh"; this was a chart for heartfelt pleas, alright.

VHM the Partridges. yikes 2 of the all-time ClassicRock warhorses back-to-back: The 'oo (speaking of severe radio edits) and Rod the Bod.
