After six straight 90s sets, I should hope we'd go a good distance back the other way.
BOS Edgar Winter.

Why are replays still happening? Is AL still out? (I don't know if she was out last week or not...)

AL will be out indefinitely on a family matter.

Where's that confounded bridge?

Oh my, sorry to hear.

I think this was the only time we got the loooong version of "Nassau".
Tina liked it "ruff" -- unfortunately, that was Ike's specialty.

This was wonderful, but it seems almost perverse for them to kiss up to one demographic for an entire week... and then play a set from before that demo was born. :)

BOS for "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys". Love the atmosphere of this one.

Playing both sides of the fence. The rest of the week will be telling. (Like, how long before they hit the 90s again?)

A lot of that Bangladeshi blood is on Nixon's & Kissinger's hands. Pakistan (or West Pakistan if you prefer) was providing a significant amount of the behind the scenes diplomacy that eventually enabled their trip to China the following year. Those two were determined that this would be their legacy, and as a qid pro quo they turned a blind eye to the attrocities being perpetrated in Bangladesh.
BOS #whatever, LSoHHB.

I'm guessing the rest of the week goes '80s/'90s and (on Friday, for 9/11) 2001

Nice to hear solos by all 4 Beatles in one 10-at-10. Bet that hasn't happened very often...

A couple of times, but yeah, not a lot.
BOSX+1 Paul & Linda, Smile Away.

Glad this set happened today. Tomorrow the 24th Coming (aka Apple iPhone unveiling) happens at 10am, so my attentions will be elsewhere.
ETA: Meant to mention that the date this set originally aired was exactly five years ago today. Coincidence?

9/8/10- Wednesday! Smile & "Have a Nice Day" in 1971 !!
Since Annalisa's return last year, this is only the second time we've gotten an encore of an AL 1.0 set.
(The first time was an encore of "Copy Cats Part 2 - The '80s" on March 2nd.)

Dave has done it once or twice -- for example, his '75 "Year of Mystery" set from May 8, 2003.

Makes you wonder how random the selections are. I mean if the PD really has a plan about what is and is not "acceptable" on 10@10, one would assume he checks the reruns out ahead of time.
