For the record, it's Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day, which could have have a parenthetical title of (Wake Me Up When This Song Ends).

Major sledgehammer -- my girlfriend had just dumped me, and this was on endlessly that summer.  Longest. September. Ever.

 I agree with RGMike on this one, though.  The only Green Day song I can think of that I don't mind hearing (but all I know is their radio hits).
