And Don't Call Us, Baby, We'll Call You.
ETA: Feb 20, 2007 is the date of origin on this one, I think. Some good stuff, one major rarity, and a couple Ks. YMMV.
-
wow, '70s 2 days in a row -- and we actually haven't done '75 in a while.

None of the streaming players are working for me. Enjoy '75.

It wasn't working earlier for me, but is now. Try again?

Works for me too..

least necessary of set: "BTR".

BROOOCE BOS

BOS the Mighty Zep.
Trampled Underfoot is how I feel after the past 24 hrs at work. Totally getting squeezed between obstinate Taiwanese upper mgmt & hard-charging Silicon Valley customer. It comes with the job, so it's not unfair, per se. I really want to knock some heads together, yet the only one whose head gets knocked is me.

Oh no, it's not. Just wait.

BOS-worthy here as well. (No. 3, if you're keeping score at home.)
Now let's fire up the MG...t'ain't no big thing.
-
2nd least-necessary: Roxy Music. Taint: no big thing.
-
BOS Ms. Gaynor as well. That was the pick me up I needed.
Gotta jet to a meeting in Palo Alto, please send positive vibes that way at 11. Deets later, but this has the potential to be huge if the ball gets rolling.

agreed. pick something else from Siren, please!

Not quite. Now *this* might be a contender....
(The ELO, that is.)
-
3rd least...

Good luck and good vibes to ya. Since you had one big score earlier this year, iirc, another one would be a serious feather in your cap. Go get 'em.
-
"you better get your face on board the very next train" -- which always reminds me of the old Firesign Theater bit: "My face leaves at 9 -- be on it!"

V-V-V-VHM K-K-K-Katmandu.

BOS5: Ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-KAT-MAN-DU!

Holy Toledo, I don't think I've ever heard "Pinball" here.
-
BOS3 Brian Protheroe, "Pinball", a lost gem IMHO.

Dave's played it a couple times. But def a rarity.
-
All. mah. friends. Know the low-trina.

since the stream started working, this and the Gloria Gaynor stand out as BOSFRA for me.
But ELO and War get some love, too.
Seger...? ok, him too, that furry so-and-so. We all like Bears. ;)

Agreed. And my last BOS of the day.
Now we're back into unnecessary territory again.
-
Now we're back into unnecessary territory again.
in a major way! "How Long" is one of '75s biggest trinas, no?
-
I can name that tune in one note!
Most 75 of set for Ace.

ha! and the bass player plays pretty much one note for bars and bars
-
Dave, cranky? no... REALLY??

Something like 14 appearances in the DB, which I think makes it one of the biggest K's overall, certainly for '75.

Technical screw-up on the marathon: we skipped 1975 and heard more commercials, followed by '81. Dunno if anyone at the station noticed; maybe they'll tack '75 onto the end... or maybe not.
-
5/27/09 - Wednesday 1975
1. Sugarloaf - Don't Call Us...
2. Led Zeppelin - Tramplew Underfoot
3. Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
4. Gloria Gaynor - If You Want It
5. Roxy Music - Love is the Drug
6. ELO - Evil Woman
7. Bob Seger - Katmandu
8. Brian Protheroe - Pinball
9. War - Low Rider
10. Ace - How Long

and indeed, they've doubled-back and are playing a different '75 set than the one we heard Wednesday now. Kinda less poetic to end this way, plus now to hear Gloria Gaynor I'll have to, er, do it myself.

Had to drive over to Kaiser SF to pick up a prescription, and I sat in their parking garage listening to the substitute '75 set to the very end, knowing I was hearing Dave's voice for the last time. :'(
