Mr. Cab Driver: Quintessential DC-style rarity.  Speaking of, we heard this almost exactly one year ago in a 1989 set.

This is very DC-ish, isn't it.  These types of sets have made a resurgence in the past week or so.

This week we've had two spectacular efforts, and two of what we have today.

Assuming the spectacular ones were 1967 and 1970?  IIRC many of the 60s and 70s sets under the DC era were well liked too.  The 80s and 90s sets were a completely different story.

Glad I was otherwise occupied. Sounds typically DC-ish: a couple of oddities surrounded by LN-y playlist staples.  In other words, just like Tuesday's '89 excursion.

I predict a passable late-'70s set tomorrow. Either that or 2002.

The average of which is still above the usual level.  However I suspect the spectacular sets will not
continue to be so frequent, and they were partly due to the chosen years being very good ones.
The challange is consistently putting together a good set from weaker years.

I'll also note that the rock & roll roulette wheel seems to be displaying more truly random
behavior this week, with essentially two '60s sets and two from adjacent years.
