Holy cow! I've never heard this Dead song before. BOSFRA!
OK, it's not the Dead, but still.
Basically it is, but not exactly on this recording.  a Dead song to be sure, but there is no 'studio' version of this song by them.  This is as close as it gets.

ETA: And she said it got BOS!

Per Renee: Jerry Garcia gets BOS, with Warren Zevon and George Thorogood getting a lot of votes as well.

Apparently the deadhead contingent are still listening...

Yes, there's lots of cross-over between the Dead and various members' individual projects, and
they often all play on each other's "solo" albums.  As another example, several songs considered
solid Dead standards are in fact from Bob Weir's "Ace."  And the Dead aren't the only ones who
do this.  My favorite Jefferson Airplane work is Baron von Tollbooth & the Chrome Nun, which is
actually credited to Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, and David Freiberg, although apparently anybody
who was walking through the studio when it was recorded appears on it.  Jerry Garcia, Mickey
Hart, David Crosby, Papa John Creach, and The Pointer Sisters are just some of the contributors.

I did not know about the deaddisc.com site, BTW.  Good stuff.  No flashy eye-candy graphics,
just the straight info.

"Rubin And Cherise" was kind of nice to hear, but it's not exactly my favorite Jerry song.  I guess
it counts as the snoozy rarity.  Just about everything else was over-played and/or LN "hits."
I don't expect much from 1978 anyway, and this lived down to my expectations.

non-overplayed Dead Jerry Garcia that's actually bearable -- will wonders never cease?  Shocked BOS3 "Reuben & Cherise". This counts as a major bustout, methinks.

I didn't think to check at first, but in fact AL played it 23-Aug-10 as part of a "local scene of the '70s"
set.
