Indeed as a bit of a 'word purist' I hate the way she misuses the word in this song.

No, she cowrote everything on the album with Glenn Ballard, who also wrote "The Man In The Mirror" & had jsut produced Wilson Phillips before this album.

wilson phillips had an album just before 1996? scary. oh, mr. ballard...such a fine, local talent. normally. maybe "ironic" has a different meaning in canadian, eh?

They've got that harmony thing going that reminds me of School of Fish and King's X (remember those guys, speaking of Christian rock?)  I don't think their name holds up very well, though maybe it means something to someone.
