I chose tracks which I figured AL wouldn't play (some of which were requested on FB).  Feel free to compare to AL's set!

Nice complement!

Inspired by AL's choice of '71 for Thursday, I finished off my 7th visit to 1970:

 1. Tom Jones - I Thank You
 2. Blossom Dearie - Both Sides Now
(News: Derek Taylor on the Beatles breakup)
 3. Paul McCartney - Hot As Sun / Glasses
 4. James Taylor - Sunny Skies
 5. The Moods - King Hustler
 6. Neil Diamond - Cracklin' Rosie
(Commercial: Cheerios "feelin' groovy")
 7. The Partridge Family - I Can Feel Your Heartbeat
 8. The Tokens - Both Sides Now
(Radio: American Top 40 - Where have you gone, Casey Kasem?)
 9. Candi Staton - He Called Me Baby
10. John Stewart - All American Girl
(TV: Fact Or Fantasy? - George Harrison)
11. George Harrison - Run Of The Mill
12. Dionne Warwick - The Green  Grass Starts To Grow
(Commercial: CBS promo for Mary Tyler Moore)
13. Peggy Lee - I've Never Been So Happy In My Life
14. Willie Nelson - Both Sides Now
(Commercial: Pepto Bismol - Billy Martin and George Steinbrenner)
15. Lou Rawls - Feelin' Alright

https://soundcloud.com/capnjack-1/163-10-10-1970

There are 15 songs because no song was longer than 3-1/2 minutes
(and most are barely over 2 minutes), and was the set was loosely
threaded by three covers of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now".
Feel free to comment!

Hey Cap'n, any chance you could put the Jesus Rock and 1982 sets up again? I was kind of distracted with some personal stuff that week and missed them altogether.

Loved the Comic book set, btw. Many thanks for sharing all your labors with us!
Let's get right to it.

I second that emotion -- our former Club regular Gazoo would *love* the Jeebus set.

Very happy to get a chance to hear that one -- several things I hadn't heard in many years, but the Kris Kristofferson track really resonated with me. "Everybody needs somebody to look down on"  -- explains a lot of the trolls we find around the interwebs today. The Dorothy Morrison take on Spirit in the Sky and the Judee Sill tune were both NTM, and I loved Oh Happy Day -- can't help but smile when I hear that.
Let's get right to it.
