The Drive, week of 3/25/13
« on: March 25, 2013, 07:59:35 AM »
Mon 3/25/13: 1970

instant uber-LN: JT, "Fire & Rain" -- anything else from this LP woulda been a BOS, probably.

VHM CCR "Hey Tonight"

BOS1 Doors

BOS2 Tull, teachin'.

"Moondance"? really, Bob?  uber-uber-uber-LN of all time.

Neil's "Southern Man" is pretty LN too, tho' considering that the Drive probably plays "Sweet Home Alabama" 27 times a week, we'll call it balance.

been hearing "What Is Life?" a lot lately, but it remains one of my favorite Beatle solo singles, so BOS3.

OTOH, as much as I lurve Workingman's-era Dead, "Uncle John's Band" is indeed uber-LN.

Jack Nicholson holds the chicken. or chokes it. or something.

VHM Chicago "Make me Smile" -- I'd love the entire "Ballet for a Girl..." but I'm not holding my breath.  ETA: but we did get the "long" FM-radio edit of "MMS" so that's something.

BOS4 Zep: they got a woman wanna ball all day. Well, if you were Percy's woman, you would too.

James Taylor - Fire and Rain
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Hey Tonight
Doors - Peace Frog/Blue Sunday
Jethro Tull - Teacher
Van Morrison - Moondance
Neil Young - Southern Man
George Harrison - What Is Life
Grateful Dead - Uncle John's Band
Chicago - Make Me Smile
Led Zeppelin - Hey, Hey What Can I Do
