Feh -- instant LN, the Oils in the Blue Sky Mine.

This slow track #2 is NTM and kind of unintelligible.  It sounds Cowboy Junkies-ish.

Has anyone noticed that a bunch of the "rare" tracks in the DC/Renee era are really, really mellow?  This one, Kraftwerk, Erykah Badu come to mind.

I'll give a BOS for Cowboy Junkies. It's NTM and sounding quite nice.

This one's also NTM and pretty snoozy.  The Pretenders, "When Will I See You?"

interesting -- if these are DC's idea of "oh wow" songs, I'm wondering if they were getting SF airplay at the time, either on KFOG or Live 105.

Reliable BOS to Enigma - Sadeness.  Although it's not exactly de-snoozing this set.

Was that who that was? Not bad, but pretty tranquil as with the rest of the set.

Btw, Jane's got busted rippin' shit off again. File under LN.
Let's get right to it.

After most everything (except Snap) being LN -or- Snoozy, we finally get one that's both!  Sinead

But let us know if Renee mentions a Food Set or Turkeys for tomo'w/Thurs.

No mention from RR, but a couple of snipes said that they'd heard mention of something along those lines from Dennis and RR yesterday. Not sure if they're talking tomorrow or Turkey day proper. And the evergreen Alice and Officer Obey and the gang will be appearing at noon and 6pm on Thursday as well. Just in case your Thanksgiving traditions include such things.

I wonder at what point the Arlo Guthrie epic becomes too old (or alienating of the young demo) to play?  I'm sure most under-30s don't get it and tune away when it comes on.  K-FOX and the Bone might be wise to give it a pass this year.

1. Midnight Oil - Blue Sky Mine
2. Cowboy Junkies - Rock and Bird
3. Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence
4. The Pretenders - When Will I see You
(Movie: Kindergarten Cop "It's not a tumor!")
5. Paul Simon - The Obvious Child
6. Enigma - Sadness
(News: Donald Trump's Taj Mahal, the Eighth Wonder of the World.)
7. Jane's Addiction - Been Caught Stealing
8. Iggy Pop - Candy
(News: Mapplethorpe and 2 Live Crew rile censors)
9. Snap! - Power
10. Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U

snoozy and LN-y: a deadly combo.  Only the Cowboy Junkies and Pretenders tunes qualify as genuine rarities, IMHO (they might be bustouts, tho' it's possible AL played them once)

I can't imagine that Snap has been played very often either (although I know it's come on at least once). At least it's not a snoozer.

And by the way, this set could have taken you back to when gas was $1.45 a gallon!     ;)
