Ostensibly in observance's of the 35th anniversary of Elvis' death. One brilliant foghead wants to hear the Bee Gees, Fleetwood Mac, and the Eagles, because we just can't hear those enough.  ::) >:(

indeed, some depressing suggestions, some from g-snipes ("Lido Shuffle"? "Night Moves"? and didn't we hear "Got To Give it Up" last time we did '77?).

BOS2 Elvis C "Blame it on Cain" -- this is a bustout, if I'm not mistaken.

‎08/16/12 - Thursday! 1977!

1. Elvis Presely - Heartbreak Hotel
(News: Pandemonium breaks out after Elvis' sudden death)
2. Linda Rondstat - Blue Bayou
...3. Andrew Gold - Lonely Boy
4. Elvis Costello - Blame It On Cain
(TV: Welcome Back Kotter - Horshak (Ron Palillo) "This don't look like no stork.")
5. Billy Joel - Only The Good Die Young
(TV: Welcome Back Kotter - The gang's all back)
6. Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. - You Don't Have To Be A Star
(Movie: Star Wars - Obi Wan Kenobi (Alec Guiness) "The Force will be with you always.")
7. Stevie Wonder - Another Star
(Movie: Annie Hall - Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) "I came here to get some shock therapy.")
8. Talking Heads - Uh Oh, Love Comes To Town
9. Bob Marley and the Wailers - Three Little Birds
(Commercial -- Hit Explosion record)
10. Kiss - Calling Dr. Love
(Movie: Annie Hall - Annie Hall (Diane Keaton) "We're you always funny?" Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) "What is this an interview? We're supposed to be making love.")

Well I didn't miss too much in that last third... tho' the Kiss tune is a nice bit o' cheeze. I was hoping (given the focus on Elvis' anniv) that we'd be date-specific throughout -- 10 songs from the Hot 100 that week -- but no.
