BOS1 Miss Rubina Flake -- she won 2 years iin a row (this and "Killing Me Softly")
Awfully easy listening on the 10at10 today. I know the song choices are "beyond her control", but sheesh.

well, but that's kinda the point. a HFH or 2 coming up.
Ya, I know. But she did have the power to reject the whole concept. Or...maybe she didn't. Anyway, I'll give a BOS for easy listening from George Benson. At least we didn't have to hear "Afternoon Delight", which would have been quite the coincidence for me, since I heard it on XM "70s on 7" in a rented SUV just last week.

If she sticks to format we will 'get' to hear Crapton twice. OTOH, Tina will also make an appearance.

But yeah, in spite of the fact that it's kind of cool we're spanning a long period of time, it's a snoozefest. Perhaps it would have better to include nominees to make it more interesting.

I'm guessing this was her idea, not DC's  -- I can't imagine he was thrilled about "A Summer Place" gracing KFOG's air.  Mellow or not, I'm digging the off-the-wall-ness of the whole thing, considering what DC's edicts have subjected us to.

OTOH: WOS1 Chris Cross.

But she threw in some extra giggles to east the pain..

No, wait.  They INCREASED the pain.  Increased is what I meant.

(for the record, I didn't mind Percy Faith as much as forced ironic laughter.)

Faulty memory. I was sure it was Winwood. This is not making me happy.

Luckily I haven't heard "Don't Worry Be Happy" lately.  :-)  Sounds great on headphones...

I would have far preferred Winwood. Hated "Don't Worry Be Happy" in '88, and time has not been kind to my feeling regarding the song.

Isn't this a case of where an artist refuses to play their biggest hit in concert?
