Tomorrow is (presumably) our '90s day for the week, so... we shall see.  And AL mentioned on FB she was recording Xmas greetings, but has she said anything on-the-air?

BOS's Patti Smith, Buzzcocks.  Joy Division.  I minded Petty more than the Police.  Buggles didn't sound too bad esp. after Joy Division.

I listened to 1987 and then 1979 today. Annalisa is definitely ON FIRE. These kinds of sets are why I listen. There's a mix of the familiar and new. The clips are new. There are a variety of styles of music.

I don't consider a good 10@10 one where I like all the music. In fact, it's nice to have a stinker or two because you might be surprised what you like or what memories it brings back. Playing the same Katrinas though has no chance of surprise or memories because you're just thinking of the other day when you heard the same song, if you're thinking at all.

Today, I really liked the cute transitions:

Eclipse news -> Walking on the moon
Video Cassette news -> Joy Division, Transmission
RCA TV ad -> TV Killed the Radio Star

Anyway, be sure to email or send her your thanks. And if DC was the problem, thank him for taking a vacation.

Agreed, though I missed the first half of the set (interminable 9am meeting). 

As for TP's "Here Comes My Girl," even I find it a bit unneccesary.  The song is fine, but any song I can recall completely in my brain isn't really needed in a 10@10.
