made suggestions, tho' I don't have high hopes for any of 'em. Please let me be wrong. '94 is precisely one of those years that is often stuck in KFOG-playlist limbo, when it desperately needs some pop-chart and Live 105 type action.

Is this live105ish enough?

BOS GD, Nirvana, Cake.  HM, all the rest.

indeed, it's always amusing to hear songs that KFOG ignored when they were new.  Still needs a pop bustout or 2.

AL is cherry-picking a lot of what was sounding good on alternative radio back in 94. If she hits Come Out and Play by the Offspring it'll be a clean sweep.

BOS3 Alice in Chains.
Let's get right to it.

Is this Todd Snider making fun of grunge? Very good.

I like Offspring too, especially Come Out and Play, though Self-Esteem was be much more bustouty.

Excellent set, for 1994.

turns out it was released in '94 and went nowhere, then Good Morning America started using it as a theme and it hit in '95.

No complaints here about the Meat Pups--Backwater was def. their most radio-friendly song. Their sound had been smoothed out a bit for that album, but they deserved whatever success they got; those guys were road warriors.

AL mentioned that Chris and Curt K. were guest musicians on the Nirvana Unplugged. She didn't say that their Lake of Fire was one of the songs Nirvana played on that show.
Let's get right to it.

That song was part of a Meat Puppets suite, including Plateau and Oh, Me, all from Meat Puppets II, one of the best albums of the 80's.
I like the greatest hits of "alternative" theme going on in the recent sets. Much better than Toad the Wet Sprocket.
