Courtesy of a cel phone commercial, I've discovered that "Clothes Off", the new single by Gym Class Heroes, is built around a sample of Jermaine Stewart's fab "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" from 1986.  Is nothing sacred?

Their last single interpolated "Breakfast in America"; didn't that already answer your question?

I've heard thier name but know nothing about them.

They were discovered by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.  Those two and Panic! At the Disco are more or less interchangeable (and no knock from me there; they're all far catchier than the emo I'm accustomed to).

I've just recorded the next great pop song. It's called "Another Corny Love Song." You can listen to a sample of it here: http://www.ameliaray.net/audio/cornysample.mp3

If you like the sample and want to hear more, you can download the song for only $0.99 (ninety-nine cents)!! Just click here to be directed to the website. After you complete your transaction, you will be directed to a page where you can download the song. It's that easy! My goal is 300 DOWNLOADS IN THE FIRST WEEK - and YOU can help! Thanks!

Not new by any real stretch ... but whenever I see Broooce singing "O Mary, Don't You Weep No More," I want to marry him.

Hey now, that's the way!  You've got a potential pop hit if you want it (and by "want it," I mean in part "change the title to something more MOR").  Very nice!

Does that make it weirder than Johnny Cash doing Nine Inch Nails?

Frankie Valli & Four Seasons' "Beggin'" has been remixed and is charting in the U.K., where they're just now getting a taste for "Jersey Boys."  The remix is tambouriffic and thankfully doesn't go the cheezy "Little Less Talk" route.

I'll e-mail an MP3 to anyone who wants one.

is there a link to it anywhere (I'd LURVE to hear it, but we know my issues with downloading large files with dial-up)?

I don't know of any public links, unfortunately, or if the track's getting a U.S. release, but maybe someone can help me upload to the S*cr*t St*sh library?  (Perhaps someday I'll shell out for the webspace to do an MP3 blog.  But now is not the time.)
