Tonight at 8 on KFOG Connected, our connection will be BLUE. Win tix for Death Cab for Cutie at the Fox ~

Speaking of Elastica.....

I like a couple of DCFC songs, but have absoutely no desire to ever see them live.

Ditto.  We both picked songs named "Blue", but by diff artists.

As did I. Jayhawks here. Thought of the Joni Mitchell tune a few minutes later, but somebody else had already called it. It'd be cool if he played all 4 songs with the same one-word title though.
Let's get right to it.

**Tuesday (March 13): tonight's connection is GREEN
Suggest your favorite green-related song; you could win tickets for Death Cab for Cuite at the Fox in Oakland on May 10th.

Hmm, I'm sensing a week-long theme brewing. REM's Green Grow the Rushes is a good ol' tune from Fables of the Reconstruction, in the midst of their transition from jangly college rock gods to "intelligent pop" idols.

**Wednesday (March 14): tonight's connection is RED
Suggest your favorite red-related song; you could win tickets for Death Cab for Cuite at the Fox in Oakland on May 10th.

Why is it that I can only think of Red Skies at Night?

**Wednesday (March 14): tonight's connection is RED

Why is it that I can only think of Red Skies at Night?

Could be worse -- I can only come up with Sammy Hagar's "Red"

Red
Red
I like Red
Some like it hot
I like it Red

Very few songwriters have the guts to right a song about their favorite color.

Caught the last two songs -- "My Girl Is Red Hot (Your's aint Doodly Squat)" and "Redneck Friend" (did Mike win?) on the way home from my brother's birthday dinner (Chevy's -- once a year is plenty).  From the back announce:  First song was "Red House", which I did think of later yesterday, but never got around to posting.  And a U2 track ("Red Hill something or other" (I'm too lazy to look it up)) from Joshua Tree.

it was Red Hill Mining Town, which won the Death Cab for Cutie tickets for a woman whose sister is a FB 10at10 regular.

**Thursday (March 15): tonight's connection is BLACK
Suggest your favorite black-related song; you could win tickets for Death Cab for Cuite at the Fox in Oakland on May 10th.

Wow, seems like a lot of potential here (on black power alone, there are good James Brown and Public Enemy songs, just to mention two). On the downside, can't get cute with the text color . . .
