So far The Coasters (I think) and a song that I've never heard before from U2's debut, Boy.

My candidate for the obvious choice is David Bowie's Cat People (Putting Out Fire).

Full set list:
"Three Cool Cats," The Coasters
"An Cat Dubh," U2
"Stray Cat Blues," The Rolling Stones
"Cool for Cats," Squeeze

Tomorrow night: Dogs!

I like "Connected", but the banality of the subjects sometimes amuses me.  Next week Dred should do all root vegatables:  Carrots, Parsnips, rutabagas, potatos, and onions to round out the week.

same here, they can be so random.  Maybe there's an obvious topical connection that he explains on the air?  I don't always listen, so I don't know how he justifies his choices.

But for vegetables:   put down Mothers Of Invention Call Any Vegetable for all days, please.

This prize gives me a headache everytime I post it.   ::)

I'm predicting The Stooges and Bowie for this set, though I'd love to hear "Slow Dog" by Belly.  Whatever it is, NO Baja Men please.  *cracks knuckles*

Kudos to the FB Foghead who suggested "Gonna Buy Me a Dog" by the Monkees.  Totally off-the-wall suggestion: "Walking My Cat Named Dog" by Norma Tanega (from 1968; it was later covered by Dr Hook). Most obvious suggestion EVAH: someone actually asked for Florence and the Machine. Oy.

Nope. Little Feat, Jethro Tull, Morrissey, Queen, and Violent Femmes. Dred went to five.
