Was just looking at the baseball playoff schedule for the remaining games of the LCS, and realized there's an anomaly this year that I don't think has been foisted off on the fans before: they've got a day off between games 4 and 5 of both LCS series, even though there's no travel involved between those games--just a seemingly arbitrary day off. I'm sure this is another scheduling demand of Faux Sports and TBS, so they don't have two games to compete with one another in their schedules. But Christ, the post season is long enough as it is--the series doesn't even start until October 28, and if it goes 7 games it won't end until November 5. Were the series to go that long, there are probably a dozen MLB ballparks in which, should they be the site of postseason games, players and fans could potentially risk frostbite if the weather were to go bad before the series is done. Note that 20 years ago, the Series was playing Game 3 on October 17. Granted, they've added another round of playoffs since then but it always seemed like they could get the Series done by the end of October even after the wild card was introduced.
