TOTHWOS, "Abracadabra", Steve Miller

We should make a list of the established rock acts who tried to make a New Wave-ish record circa 1980-83, and how many failed miserably.  This certainly qualifies.

The short list of those few who pulled it off includes Bowie & Robert Palmer, any others?

You are correct, sir.  He feels the magic in your size, too.

BOS1 to "Valerie", which could also qualify for 1987.

sorry I gotta WOS this for the precise reason in my previous post.  Woulda been a much better song if it had been produced in 1978 or something, with real drums and maybe some saxophone.

BOS Talk Talk2.

Now this is how you use a drum machine & synths.

ETA: and having gotten myself into this frame of mind, I realize how effective the use of accoustic drums & piano are on the bridge there.
