Be assured I'll never link to Entertainment Weekly again, but these clips really make me eager to see the whole of the Colbert Christmas special:

This is quite the unintentionally funny TANC/WTF of the month:

I belong to Goldstar, the discount ticket club. They send emails regularly with current discounted events. So I get this one for "Slanted Comedy" at Club Deluxe. One of the comedians is named Greg Edwards, "a local up-and-coming Bay Area comic". But the picture in the listing is of, um, another Greg Edwards -- our old friend from CGSS!

http://www.goldstar.com/events/san-francisco-ca/slanted-comedy-with-edwin-san-juan-and-greg-edwards.html

LOL! I just about fell over when I saw the pic.  Someone at Goldstar (or Club Deluxe) hasn't quite got the hang of "the Google" yet.

The 10 Least Successful Holiday Specials of All Time

I recall someone linking to this when it first appeared. Still damn funny. I'm reminded of Letterman's "Top Ten Rejected Names for Santa's Reindeer", which I have at home somewhere -- I'll dig it out tonite.

just checked into motel, and we really dug the video!  That will be me tomorrow at noon.  Hey Rod, my teacher says I need a more modern driver, what's hip these days?

There's all kinds of new stuff coming out every day.  I bought  a Titleist 905R a year and a half ago ($299) that I like a lot.  The Taylor Made R7s are popular.  Basically, go to Golfsmith or a similar store and try some out.  In the end, they are all fairly similar, and it depends upon personal preference.  You will notice a big difference with the new drivers -- even mis-hits go farther and straighter.  You might be able to find some older models on sale at Sports Authority on sale and save some dough.

Mike posted something in Holiday Music about a Barbra Streisand Christmas song, which prompted me to find this classid nugget -- which I never get tired of:
