I don't know if anyone else will get the reference, but there's a wikipedia page to explain it here:

I briefly worked with "Lowtax," the guy behind Something Awful who helped popularize AYBABYU.  Incredibly clever but not a nice guy at all.  This was back when I was part of MP3Spy in late '99.

well the math is simple.  unless they figured out a way to have sex in the bathroom on a regular basis (with her morphed into the toilet seat, that is), how could the guy go 24 months calling her his girlfriend?

Sarah got this from a college friend in Kansas City (MO but still pretty local), but I'm hearing about it from people all over.
Let's get right to it.

This just came around here at work this morning. I totally failed. Totally.

(Btw, it reminds me of the ads we hear on CG during their evening broadcasts.)

It's actually kind of old -- makes the rounds every once in a while.

John Hughes before he made teen comedies, and yes this was the inspiration for the first Vacation flick...

SF weekly reports that the show What Not To Wear is doing an SF episode, and they have some suggestions:

http://www.sfweekly.com/2008-03-26/news/don-t-wear-that-san-francisco/

the usual suspects are mentioned (The Brown Twins, Wavy Gravy, East Bay lesbians) but their blurb on Adam Duritz is priceless:

Category: White guys with dreads

"Okay, so this isn't one of the official categories, but it totally should be. God, is there a worse hairstyle? (A dreadlock mullet would be worse, but we've never actually spotted one of those.) Duritz, the Counting Crows singer, is the most conspicuous local white guy with dreads, but let us assure the What Not to Wear producers that there are plenty more where he came from in these parts — at least when they're not all in the desert at Burning Man for two weeks. If any readers happen to bump into Duritz at a Cal game, ask him a question for us: Who is he trying to look like, Sideshow Mel or Sideshow Bob?"

A WTF moment if ever there was one:

Dr. Pepper supports Chinese Democracy

http://pressreleasetosaveworld.blogspot.com/

I'm not sure if I buy it or not, but it sure reads like a legit press release.

Let's get right to it.

This has been reported on by Billboard, among others, so it is legit, if silly ...
