5 April 2011: it's... 1974
« on: April 04, 2011, 08:04:16 PM »
The thread is live -- make yer suggestions! (And be more orig than the Fogheads asking for "Band on the Run" and "Hello It's Me")

ETA: why Fogheads drive me nuts ... Someone requested "Jolene", fully acknowledging that we just heard it in the recent '73 set. Really, dude?

But, based on repeat votes so far, looks like "Pretzel Logic" is a shoo-in.

ok, I'll start the recreation...   Uh..

someone said "maybe the 70s were all haze for (those people who make silly requests)"

and I went "you know what they say, if you can remember the 70s you weren't there, drinkinig Chablis and doing coke and poppers"

then I went
"geez, someone requested 'anything by the talking heads!'  That's comedy gold!  (I hope they were kidding)

I couldn't make FB requests but if I did, I would request Be Bop Deluxe, BÖC, 'Bell Boy' from Quadrophenia, anything from Roxy Music's 'Country Life' LP, or some poppy soul or funky pop."

Afraid to say I can't recall a thing I posted, save for having BOS'd Big Star, Bowie & Mott. Or was that on FB?

But today was the first time I've listened to nearly an entire set via my phone. This smartphone thing may yet earn its keep!
Let's get right to it.
