I'm so glad she played the Small Faces!  so underrated.

Fully agree. Prior to this the only 10@10 contributions (in the Shraytabase) for the Small Faces were a handful for Tin Soldier, and surprisingly, just one for Itchycoo Park.

That's a damn sight more than their antecedents Faces however, who appear only three times, all of which are Stay With Me.
Let's get right to it.

I'm totally unfamiliar with this old Small Faces tune; it kind of sounded like Paul Revere and the Raiders!

Virginia Woolff --> "Get Out Mah Life, Woman!"  Segue of the day so far.

Who's this doing Get Out My Life, Woman?  I only know it as a song Jerry Garcia covered in the 80s.

NTM, tho' Im not surprised it was white-ified, er, covered by Jerry.

Now, now Mike!  Bad enough to slag a song you haven't heard, but how does he 'white-ify' a song sung by a white guy?  I'm shocked, I say shocked nobody could ID Paul Butterfield!
 ;) :D ;D

I was listening with ya.  BOS to Love's "Little Red Book," VHM to the song that inspired the B-52s, "96 Tears."

It should be mentioned that Jerry performed it with a pair of black backing singers, Gloria Jones and Jackie LaBranch as well as Melvyn Seals, also black, on organ. All were full-time members of his band.
Let's get right to it.

yeah yeah, whatevs. ::)  The point was that the Dead were famous for doing some of the whitest covers of R&B songs EVER.  (It's one of the few things I agree with Dave Marsh about)
