I actually like a lot of his songwriting, when covered by others -- Rodney Crowell's version of "She Loves the Jerk" is one I need to put on my wish-list for whatever year that's from.

I can agree w this.  He writes some interesting songs, tells good stories, but I don't dig his intonation or vocal texture.  I'll chk out that Rodney Crowell song.

I'll give a BOS to Los Lobos, even though when I saw them in 1985 at the Bayou Club in Wash DC, and I kept yelling out my request for Diablo Con Vestido Azul, they ignored me.  I'm still waiting.. :(  Less Bertha, more Diablo, por favor.
