a fine way to end a (mostly) stellar week.

On guy requested EJ's "Step into Christmas" -- I was tempted to tell him to just tune in to KOIT; he can hear it every 2 hours for the next month...

To be fair, that is just about my favorite of all Christmas songs, and I could never hear it too often.

yeah, good one, but that cascading laser-muskrat-chattery keyword right after he sings "The Admission is free.." makes me go tee-hee...

I've requested more NY Dolls & Guilty by Bonnie Raitt, which I just heard for the first time yesterday on a mixtape CD someone recently made for me.  I thought it was Cat Power for a few seconds into it.  I was so floored, I played it 3 times in a row! :)

early Bonnie is quite wonderful. Home Plate is one great LP all the way thru.

Funny - in 1991, when "Something To Talk About" became Bonnie Raitt's first Top 40 hit, various radio stations were referring to her as "new artist Bonnie Raitt".

Agreed r/ "Step Into Christmas" - may not technically qualify as a Katrina, or even a bad song, but is not what I'd consider 10@10 material.

Of course, that has a better chance of being played than "Basketball Jones". OTOH, I think "Nutbush City Limits" has a chance.

one of the cool things that Bob on the Drive and Rob on the Peak have done in Decembers past is dropping in Xmas songs in their respective years (one per set). I always wondered why Dave didn't do that -- of course it makes it hard to recycle those sets as reruns in July.
