That was the Clash?!??! Okay, add that one to my short-but-growing list of good Clash songs.  Worth a BOS.

AC/DC on the other hand...  ::)  Well, I guess it is pretty common for AL to end with something like this.

this is NTM, but I recognize the Clash singing in there, and know it's RGM's request.  Nice one.

The pleasant chorus reminds me of Polyphonic Spree.

That's Ellen Foley of "Paradise By the Dashboard Light" and Night Court fame -- she was Jones's (or was it Strummer's?) gf at the time.

ETA: It was Jones -- and "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?" was about her.

Sumpin' fer everyone, that's AL's motto.  AC/DC is a not-very-guilty displeasure for me.

WOS2 "Back in Black."  Brian Johnson is unlistenable to my ears.

heh, Back In Black for the Giants (orange and black).  I get it.

Reminds me years ago -- in 1995 to be exact -- when the Giants ran a program to get kids involved with the team.  and they called it the "Orange And Black Kids' Club."

At a game one night in June (against the Mets, featuring Jeff Kent, who took an early lead an held it until the G men pulled it out w a Bonds RBI double!) they put it on the scoreboard with line breaks that seemed  a little funny.  My brother pointed it out as not seeming so "correct." It said something like this:

Join the Giants'
Orange and
Black Kids
Club!

... so there's a special club for "Black Kids?"  anyway, I still remember that.

F--k! I really wanted to hear Vangelis and not AC/DC.

I liked today's theme.
That being said, Hitsville U.K. was an excellent request.  Hopefully, our Giants will be all hitsville tomorrow.

Holy crap -- I didn't even realize there was a Giants thread going thru the set until you mentioned it

"Winning"... "Better Things" ... "Tomorrow" ... "Super Freak" ... "Back in (Orange &) Black". DUH!  I guess I picked a good day to ask for "HITS-ville"!

Guess you didn't listen to AL's back-announce?  Yeah, I can understand that.  :)
