28 sept 2010: it's... 1969
« on: September 27, 2010, 06:06:44 PM »
Sorry I'll have to miss a fave year (goddamn meeting). But then if I'm not here my odds of getting a request played probably go up.

LOTS of "Hawaii Five-O" requests, tho'  -- given the reboot on CBS I'd say the odds are high.

Is this Toots doing the Monkey Man song?  I like it -- never heard it before, as far as I know.

I swore AL was going to follow it up with the Stones' Monkey Man.  Thank God I'm not a gambler!

Always a BOS for Desmond Dekker.  I think this qualified as a Narada for me since I never heard it outside of 10at10 for years and years.

based on the above, sounds rather katrin-ish -- much as I lurve Spiral Starecase, it's a longtime Morey go-to tune. And AL has played "Boy named Sue" a few times now. No "Hawaii Five-O"?

ETA: tried to decipher AL's FB posts -- looks like she played "Wild Child" by the Doors? That would be a bustout, methinks.

Also the Isleys and JB made appearances, apparently.

Bummed to have missed most of this one.
