too bad Gaz is missing this:

Greg's playing "I was Born This way", Carl Bean's pro-gay club hit from 1977. I'm hearing this for the first time.

I love the fact that the B-side was a cover of Cat Stevens' "Was Dog a Doughnut?"

Seriously, I was COMPLETELY unaware of this.  Yikes!  Much a ways to go til I can claim some level of authority on this topic.  Grazie!

Yer welcome, it was a mind-blower for me too. (I'd heard OF it, but had never heard it.)  Wonder if Dave owns a copy?

I too always thought it was "everybody wants your body" but apparently it's "Move your body" and "work your body".  I like our interpretation better.

ROTFL! Eddie Murphy, "Party All the Time"!  This'd be a great Rick James record had Rick sung it instead of Eddie.

OMG, Tavares, "Whodunit?"  I'm in pop/soul heaven.

"Hey Kojak/Won't you bring her back?"
"Hey Baretta/Won't you please go get her?"
"For cryin' out loud/Somebody call McCloud"

OK, I'll stop now.
