Oh. My. F---ing. GAWD!  uber-BOS4 to an ATBB: Bronski Beat's post-Somerville "Hit That Perfect Beat"!! I am gobsmacked!

Thanks for the ID.  I think it evokes Q-Feel's "Dancing in Heaven (Orbital Be-Bop)."

thank you for that, R-347!  I still have this 45, was very sad that it wasn't a US hit. (tho' it went to  #3 in the UK) Even if I don't get Jermaine Stewart, this makes the set for me.

This is probably the best 1986 set I've heard. Yeah, I hear the hate for Boys Don't Cry, but the song is so ridiculous I can't get too worked up about it.

quite amazing: per the shraytabase, the Housemartins, TMBG, Art of Noise and Bronski Beat are all bustouts, and the Falco a serious rarity with only ONE play in the Morey era.  "...Cowboy", aside from being awful, is the major Katrina here (8 Dave plays).

This is probably the best 1986 set I've heard.

This set reminds me of high school so much!  Great variety on the radio back then.  Big Rick used to play most of these songs - esp Housemartins, Smiths, Iggy, etc -on KITS (pre-Live105) back in the day.  He's such a great DJ and am happy he's still on the air.
