Some dolt on AL's FB page suggested "Jet Airliner" and "Couldn't Get it Right". Gee, ya NEVER hear those 2!  ::)

same guy -- "Scooter Livingston" is his name -- on FB just said he hasn't heard "Strawberry Letter" in AGES. Has he been in a hermetically sealed room for the past decade?

maybe he just moved to SF & never listened to 10@10 before.

plus that was 1976.  "Jungle Love" is 1977.

no actually they're both '77. and both Classic Rock warhorses.

BOS for Blondie.  I'm thinking of going to see them and the B52's at the Mountain Winery this summer.  Anybody seen them recently?

BOS3 this unfamiliar-sounding "starry eyes" song just for being a bustout.

I'll give it an HM for it's nice jangly sound, but I'd say there's a reason this is a forgotten song.  It's just not very good, with tons of repetition of "starry eyes".

And I know it's a Katrina, but I still really like "Smoke from a Distant Fire".  I could never make out "don't let the screen door hit you".  I think I thought they were saying "and when that reality hits you".

If I played bass, I would def try to master Jungle Love's bassline.

I missed the starry-eyes song but will give BOS to Sanford-Townsend.  Happy Friday!

BOS3 Gilda.

proxy of Alicat, Pablo Snooze.  If AL had played their cover of "I Go to Rio" I'd've given her points for audacity, but "Place in the Sun" ain't doin' it.

Funny to hear Baba Wawa.  I was watching the 2nd season of SNL last night and saw her on the third show.  I also saw James Taylor accompanied by a much younger Lee Sklar (who I successfully identified :-).  He still had the big beard, but he was all brown instead of grey.

Hey hey, didja hear the pop quiz yesterday?  That was me winning Jeff Beck tickets.  Any Beck in 77?  I bet there is.

dunno... Wired was '76.  But congrats!
Tanks.  Ya know a good place to eat near the Masonic Auditorium?

if you walk over to Polk there's a good Indian place (India Aroma), Polk near Clay.

Polk near Pine has a couple other Indian places:  Shalimar -- cheap, spicy -- and Darbar across the street. There's also Miller's Deli on Polk : http://www.millersdelisf.com/

WOS to the oversung "Place in the Sun."  Pablo's lead singer had no sense of nuance whatsoever.
