WOS "Have a Cigar," Floyd at their most boring to my ears.

BOS #whatever Monty Python clip!!!!
Didn't Holy Grail come out in '74?  I spose it's still valid...

Guess not.  They were filming it in 74; guess that's what I remember.

Biggest BOS for Steely Dan and "Don't Take Me Alive".  I love that opening chord.

HM for obscure Neil Young that I've never heard before, but I didn't really like that song.

And a BOS for "Have a Cigar".  Did I mention I love Wish You Were Here?

Yeah me too, it's a great album all around.

By the way, Chris Hedgecock's band "The Floyd Project" concert in San Jose a few weeks ago was very excellent.  The did all the big song (plus some lesser-known ones) from Wish you were Here, The Wall, and Dark Side of the Moon.  Sounded *amazingly* like the real Pink Floyd.
Now I'm eight bits...

BOS2 "Don't Take Me Alive," despite the Oregon mispronunciation.

For the first several years after this came out, I thought he was singing "Crossed my old man back in Aragon."
Let's get right to it.

see, in my family it was the men who were hamsters, and the women smelt of elderberries...

Proxy of Rod for the Spamalot, err, Holy Grail clip

'Tanks.  I've been busy workin', so not paying a lot of attention.  While others were immediately sure of the mystery year, I only knew it was mid-70s Macca, and my first guess was '76.  Then, it was just background until MP, and I knew then it was '75.

BOS to the fuzzed guitar Dan intro.  That intro always hits a nerve, pleasantly.

Ha! but is it "my old man" or "my own man"? I've always heard the latter.

BOS2 the 'oo and a rare track, "How Many Friends?" -- "he buys me a brandy, but could it be he's really after my ass?"

ETA: OMFG! uncensored "shit"!  I love you, AL!

Damn, I would have fallen out of my chair if I'd been hearing that real time.  Last night XM Deep Tracks played nothing but Who for the whole 2+ hrs I was listening.  And I was thinking that if I had a chance to request a Who track it would have been this one.

Damn.
