21 Guns yet again follows the set.  at least they're consistent.

BOS# Cheap Trick, awesome -- AWESOME! -- rock band!!!!

Cannot agree more.

Were you in SF when they did the three-night run at the Music Hall, playing their each of first three albums on consecutive nights? I think they were one of the first to use that gimmick, now everyone's doing it.

yes! I saw night #2, In Color.  I should've gone all three nights.... :(
Saw them a few years later a GAMH, then once more in that Marin Sonoma fair in 06, maybe?

BTW, they're using "Know Your Enemy" in the trailer for The Spy Next Door, a godawful-looking Pacifier/Kindergarten Cop knockoff with Jackie Chan. Painful.

12/14/09 - Monday...  Must be...1978!!

   1.  Warren Zevon - Johnny Strikes Up the Band
   2.  Carly Simon - You Belong to Me
(TV:  Fantasy Island)
   3.  Jay Ferguson - Thunder Island
   4.  Van Halen - Jamie's Cryin'
(Ad:  Camaro Z-28)
   5.  The Undertones - Teenage Kicks
   6.  Bruce Springsteen - Candy's Room
(Movie:  Animal House)
   7.  Cheap Trick - Top of the World (BOS)
   8.  Talking Heads - Artists Only
(News:  Jessica Savich - Nuke Protests/Gay Pride Rally)
   9.  Sylvester - You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) (BOS)

BONUS TRACK:  Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated

it's a wonderful (top of the) world in which Cheap Trick and Sylvester tie for BOS!

3 BOS's & 2 VHM's...it's safe to say that Annalisa has made me a fan of 1978 now!  ;D  (She already knocked out 1981, 1980, & 1979....4 years in her first year.)

AAAAAAAAACK!!! "Thunder Island"!  Oh. No. You. DIH-unt!

great set~

coulda used some Joe Walsh, though!

ETA: Wait a minute.. I realized just as I submitted this comment that the great Joe Walsh is on Thunder Island. (He plays on this Jay Ferguson track).   If fact, I think he ran for president of Thunder Island, but narrowly lost to Ric Ocasek.

How Ya Doin'?

Would not be at all surprised, as Jay Ferguson was the keyboardist in Joe's band around this time.
Let's get right to it.
