Woo Hoo, George Harrison!  I'm pretty sure Dave did play this, but it predates the Db.

no Beth?  really?

When I was 13-16 I had a running crush on a girl named Beth.  Went to my church, but the neighboring HS to the north.  We never did hook up, but when I was 14 & we had a family trip out west I distinctly remember carving Mark + Beth inside a heart onto a rock at the Grand Canyon somewhere along the Rim Trail.

ETA:  I may once have mentioned that I volunteered for the John Anderson 1980 presidential campaign, even though I didn't turn 18 until 4 months after the 1980 election.  That was fueled in part by idealism & in part by a crush on another girl from that HS (University City - also where we went to midnight shows of Rocky Horror) who I learned was volunteering as well.  But I was thwarted when her boyfriend that she was on the outs with decided to make up & join her in the campaign as well.  Said boyfriend confided in me that the only girl at U City HS considered better looking than his Leslie...was Beth.

it's got heaviosity:

While you're a part of Crackerbox Palace
Do what the rest all do
Or face the fact that Crackerbox Palace
May have no other choice than to deport you

epic Queen song, although oft-heard.  btw, Queen claims the third most days spent on the British record charts:

   1. Elvis Presley (2,574 days)
   2. Cliff Richard (1,983)
   3. Queen (1,755)
   4. The Beatles (1,749)
   5. Madonna (1,660)
   6. Elton John (1,626)

wow, the edge out the Fabs by 0.34%  That's pretty damn close.  That's like running a 10k race and winning by less than a stride.
