Wow, what was that movie clip with the guy singing Afternoon Delight?  Weird.

VHM for an Oasis song that isn't played to death.

ETA: oh, I take that back.  It was played to death on that AT&T commercial.

liked the second song, and BOS to King Of The Hill clip.  I've really grown to appreciate that show.

go see Extract if it's still in theaters, or else queue it up on Netflix.  Mike Judge wrote & directed & has a minor speaking part which he does completely in his 'Hank' voice.

Oooooh, an ATBB for sure, lesser played Oasis BOS #2.

gotta run!

The Wedding Singer? Pretty sure it was Adam Sandler.
Let's get right to it.

BOS to the Bosstones and the swoonworthy Dickie Barrett.  Still hoping for White Town, though.

indeed.  Other Live-105ish faves I'd love to hear: Corenershop, Ben Folds Five, Cardigans.  And of course Hanson would make my day.  If AL plays Blur's "Song 2" it will offically become her Katriniest Katrina.

BOS3 that Oasis bustout; BOS4 Indigo Grrrrls.

More Live 105yness, but I'm blanking on the name of this song/band. VHM in any case.  Everclear?

That's them.  BOS for me.  And it isn't even one of their two hits, so big rarity points.

BOS that long distance calling ad, just cause Phil Hartman was the announcer. RIP, Phil.

The Wedding Singer? Pretty sure it was Adam Sandler.

TANC: Sandler's clever, forgotten "Listening to the Radio" (yes, a song on a mostly spoken comedy album) was a KFOG staple that year  -- if AL played that, I'd plotz.

Everclear to Everlong.  Nice.  And BOS for Foo Fighters, just in general.

And the 105yness keeps on coming: Foo Fighters; as with the rest of the set, not one of their more overplayed tunes.

Indeed, and even more so with Bush.  Though I was listening to 98.5 a lot at this point, and we've got Bush there.

Nope, Gavin Rossdale and Bush. They were all the rage for a couple years. I was a little surprised they faded so quickly--he's got a fairly distinctive inflection in his voice and I thought their songs were a cut above most of the rest of alterna-rock fodder. The solo record he put out this year didn't do much at all.
