Interesting to scan readers comments at end of article, some do take the time to make thoughtful comments. I heard on newsradio there will be more police presence today, making more arrests if necessary especially if protesters continue to swarm the platforms.
I'm a lifelong lefty but I fail to see...
(a) why it is necessary for the protest to take place within the fare gates/on the actual BART platform. (at rush hour, no less)
(b) how cel phone service in a subway tunnel -- something that didn't even exist a few years ago -- is a "right" that takes precendence over public safety or the inconveniencing of thousands of commuters.
You don't win hearts & minds by making folks late for dinner, Jus' sayin'. Gather at the entrance, carry signs, hand out flyers, fine.
