OMGWTFLOL! Skope -- "Be Mine Again", the orig translation-from-Italian of the song that later became "Live For Today". one! two! three! four!

sha la la la la dangit

I think I missed this one.  This station can be an embarrassment of riches, esp if your riches are seldom heard pop nuggets from the 60s/70s.

Holy frijoles!  The Equals (f/Eddie Grant) do a song called Laurel and Hardy.  Pretty fun and way less annoying that Electric Avenue.

In the name of the Lord

UK oddity: Otis' version of "My Girl", which reached #11 over there in '65 while the Tempts' orig did nothing until it was reissued in 1992!

yeah, that was fun. Absolutely NTM, as are many songs here.  who did the one before "Zabadak"?  "Johnny Stay Away" I think it was?  sounded a tad like Lulu?   I didn't see a playlist on their site, maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

there's a "now playing" strip at the top of their web page; it often changes before the song is half-over. DD,D,B,M&T were HUGE in the UK -- 13 hits betw '65 and '69 -- and completely unknown in the states.

OMFG! The Tokens' sweet, 4 Seasons-ish "She Lets Her Hair Down" -- it was orig a shampoo commercial.

For those who want to compare (and this was new to me - wow!):

“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
