well, I like the feel of this set, even though we're short on actual Woodstock recordings.  (btw, have you seen the vid of Joe Cocker doing this song w the lyrics re-interpreted?  I'll try to find the link)

AL's trying to mix it up, I guess, and as Rob played 10 live-at-W'stock cuts this morning, it's fine with me.

OTOH, I'd've preferred hearing Grace's "morning maniac music" clip again.  But BOS2 JA "Volunteers" in-studio.

got in just in time for "I'm Free".  I'll tell y'all in a minute just how apropo that was.

Uh-oh. That has kind of an ominous ring to it, Mark.

See the cow orker thread, I just put the dish there.  Bottom line they haven't fired me yet & I'm fighting back.

Who was talking ahead of this clip?  It really sounded like Joe Morgan to me.

Is this recorded at Woodstock, or some other live recording? It's not one I've heard much of.
Let's get right to it.

The interviews are more interesting than hearing "Soul Sacrifice" for the billionth time.

er... oops.  Oh, it's "Jingo".  Same thing. ;)

Dude, if there's another song you *don't* want to hear, keep it to yourself. ;)

Save for the Richie Havens tune, sounds like AL is trying to select lesser played songs from those recorded at the concert itself.

Btw, according to that setlist that Geoff posted the link to earlier in the thread, Santana didn't play Jingo at Woodstock. Minor thing, particularly since Soul Sacrifice got played in the Carlos b-day set a few weeks back.
