Some remaining predictions:

some Pretenders for sure
Pearl Harbor & The Explosions - Drivin'
Donna Summer - On The Radio or The Wanderer

or how about Stephanie Mills - Never Knew Love Like This Before

note that the two guys we've heard are both gender-benders.  This has been a fabulous set, truly.
Hmmm, never thought of Prince as a gender-bender, though he certainly has a feminine voice on many songs.

dude, his whole early persona was "Is he straight? Is He gay?" mascara, etc.

BOS7 (!) Joy Division -- and again I HIGHLY recommend the Ian Curtis biopic Control if you've not seen it.

Well, all right, whatever.

BOS for the 1980 movie medley.  It sure was a good year for movies that we still watch with some regularity.

and it is Tom Hansen's favorite album cover:

he's wearing it in this scene and the younger Tom was wearing it in a flashback scene.

I love the Blues Brothers, and the movie is a true classic.  I enjoyed seeing them on SNL and got "Briefcase Full of Blues", which is a great record.  A real record.

LOL @ the Shrink-a-dinks.  I used to love those things...however if I was introduced to them any older then they probably would have weirded me out.  I tried looking for them about 10 years ago but they must have been discontinued... :(

I'd like to sound like Lou Marini, but how do I sound like him now?  He doesn't say anything (hardly) in The Blues Brothers.

I enjoyed some of the first LP, and the movie is fun for the R&B cameos (Ray-Ray, Ree-Ree). But there's a lot of people who just hate the whole middle-class-white-guys-being-black vibe.

you mean Aykroyd & Belushi being middle-class or Elwood & Joliet Jake?

Well, those folks can just kiss my black white ass.  And don't forget the appearances by Cab and James.

how about that climax?  the car chase? the crashing in the mall?    good stuff.  John Landis directed, correct?
