This set doesn't suck nearly as much as I feared.  BOS for Dion Ferris (excuse speeling errors).  This song has a great sound, doncha think?

Heather Nova loses the subtlety sweepstakes!

"I want you to COME!  I want you to COME!"

Meanwhile, VHM to Dionne Farris's "I Know"; what I *don't* know is why she never had another album (or indeed, another single) promoted as heavily as this one.  This song should be more fondly remembered.

I wonder if that segue was Dave's way of thanking Sheryl for killing the author of LLV?

LOL!!!

Allegedly, the author of the book Leaving Las Vegas, which hadn't yet reaped him any reward, was incensed by Sheryl's song of the same name, claiming she stole his ideas.  When she appeared on (Letterman?) and disingenuously claimed the creation as hers-all-hers, it was allegedly one of the last straws before he committed suicide.

Apologies for misremembering any details.

And W-O-S x infinity to Deep Blue Something's "Breakfast at Tiffany's," one of the emptiest songs I have ever heard in my life.

she had one more hit single from a different album: "penny with a hole in it" or "hopeless." something like that...

A friend of mine was the bass player in the Tuesday Night Music Club, and also feels somewhat abused by Ms. Crow, which is understandable.

I thought it was one of the songwriter/musicians from her debut album who killed himself? Not the author of the book.

I think we should rotate the 10@10 Club logo, and Beej seems pretty facile w/Photoshop.  Wanna send me something the same size as this?:

And an over-rated one at that. I mean- sure, Audrey Hepburn was lovely and looked cute in the capri-pants and all. But, I'm just not that entranced by the movie. And Mickey Rooney's just painful to watch.

Being Patricia Neal's rent-boy wouldn't be bad, though.
