Lionel Richie -You Are
INXS -The One Thing
Billy Joel -Tell Her About It
Berlin -The Metro

Most of these appeared in the Casey's '80s set this weekend.  First time I'd heard "You Are" in many years.

Tuesday 4/7/09, 1977:

Hot -Angel In Your Arms
Aerosmith -Walk This Way
Jennifer Warnes -Right Time Of The Night
KC & The Sunshine Band -I'm Your Boogie man
Foreigner -Cold As Ice
James Taylor -Your Smiling Face
Ted Nugent -Cat Scratch Fever
Kenny Rogers -Lucille
Abba -Dancing Queen

hooray for Hot and Kenny Rogers -- 2 of my fave singles of that year, and 2 that Dave has never played, inexplicably.

I bet "Lucille" would qualify as a HFH for most, but even then Dave should have played it.

No doubt -- Fogheads especially have an anti-country bias.  I understand Kenny's stuff being HFH material post-"Lady", but "Lucille" is a classic bit of country story-songwriting.

Wed 4/8/09: 1987:

Madonna -Who's That Girl?
Def Leppard -Animal
Europe -Carrie
Dead Or Alive -Brand New Lover
Crowded House -Something So Strong
Robert Cray -Smoking Gun
George Michael -Faith
Suzanne Vega -Luka
Starship -Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now

TANC, as Gaz & I discussed '87 yesterday.  I probably haven't heard Europe's "Carrie" since 1987 (thank gawd).

Thurs 4/9/09, 1997:

Cardigans -Lovefool
Green Day -Time Of Your Life (Good Riddance)
Fiona Apple -Criminal
Tonic -If You Could Only See
Smash Mouth -Walkin' On The Sun
Sheryl Crow -If It Makes You Happy
OMC -How Bizarre
Jewel -Foolish Games
Spice Girls -Wannabe

A lot closer to how I remember '97 than anything Dave could've played -- the only thing missing is Hanson!

BOS to Cardigans, with one of the decade's best singles.

in a year with several of 'em, I'd argue ("M-M-M-Bop", for one; "Tubthumping" for another)
