The Eva Cassidy version IS pretty, but the lyrics don't do anything for me.

What does "SW" mean in this context?

My sincere condolences, with my hopes that as one door closes, another opens.  That tends to be how these things work.

Thanks for the good wishes.  Actually the severance pay takes nearly all the sting out of it.  And the company is nearly totally screwed up now, so it's good to get out.

We were in the midst of a massive re-org, so upper level folks had already been let go.  Though they assured us that there wouldn't be cuts at the engineer level, we strongly suspected that that was not the case.  Which it wasn't.  125 people were let go at the individual contributor level.

Actually, there's an opening here for a Technical Project Manager.  Emphasis on programming background (c++, sql, etc...) and management.  In SF, small company, Workers Comp, general liability tracking/reporting software.  Let me know if you're remotely interested, and I'll shoot you more info...
