every time I hear a Hall and Oates hit, I grudgingly find myself enjoying it.

BOS2 H&O "Out of Touch" -- too much!

Right there with ya. And that Rock Report was a nifty little flashback--and one I don't recall Dave playing too often. Loved the Aztec Camera mention.
Let's get right to it.

How many songs have the phrase "From a Whisper To a Scream" in the title? I can think of at least three: Elvis Costello's, Allen Toussaint's, and this one.

And here's one going out to the boys down at the Eagle.
Let's get right to it.

"Whisper to a Scream" was once a deliightful obscurity, now one of the most overplayed "oldies" at Triple-A.

But OMG, Zebra gets a WOS2. I *totally* don't get the love for this one.  And it's a Narada besides, I'd never heard of it until I moved here.

Just when I was getting tired of U2's "Pride..." I found out Dave Marsh absolutely hates it... So therefore, BOS3.

The Eagle in NYC would have been apt, though.  (FWIW, bearish friends of mine have been trying to recruit me into the subculture for years, since I'm hairy morning noon and nitey-nite-nite.  Alas, it's not my bag.)

VHM Jesse when he was good -- tho' this was around the time he stole the rainbow idea from gay people.

BOS4 Nik Kershaw -- a onetime Katrina that hasn't been overplayed in quite a while.

This song always makes me think of a guy I've known since college with whom I had a few not-all-the-way dalliances.  He just got engaged last week but I was unable to be supportive enough to attend the party.

it started out interesting (a rebellion against nellie-ness, in a lot of ways) but now it's a creepy fetish community more than anything else, run by the same fat queens it was meant to be a refuge from.
