The Peak, 11/20/08: 1983
« on: November 20, 2008, 07:45:32 AM »
Stevie Nicks If Anyone Falls
XTC Love On a Farmboy's Wages
Police King Of Pain
Jackson Browne Tender Is The Night
Martin Briley The Salt in My Tears
Thompson Twins Love on Your Side
ZZ Top Gimme All Your Lovin'
NRBQ Rain at the Drive-In
Madness Our House
Stevie Ray Vaughan Texas Flood

Yay! the stream is working again!  Kudos on the rare XTC and Thompsons -- we tend to get "Hold Me Now" up the wazoo, but never "Love on Your Side".

I never heard that NRBQ track before, and haven't heard Martin Briley in forever, but few tunes make me flip the dial faster than "Our House".  Agree with all you said as well.

indeed -- I want an "OH" moratorium for the next 3 years.  But except for Jackson Browne and SRV, at least half that set would be Morey bustouts if he'd played them.

I've often wondered how much freedom Rob has (we know that Ginger and Bob had playlist/frameworks they had to stay within). But after he played Grace Jones' "Pull Up To The Bumper" the other day, I think he's got a pretty wide berth.

In for the first half of the replay, I gotta give "Salt In My Tears" a BOW vote.  Unfortunately have to take a conf call with colleagues in Taiwan at 7:30, so will miss the rest of the set.
