The Peak, 10/03/08: It's 1976

Proxy of Cairo to "Green Earrings" - though I confess it's one of my least favorite Dan songs.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

"Beat on the Brat" is kind of what I had in mind when I called the Ramones a novelty act in a recent blog post.

NTM and certainly an ATBB: Paris, "Big Towne - 2061."  Sounds awfully Steve Millery.

Aha: Amazon.com informs me this is a power trio led by Bob Welch.  Now I hear it.

If you're thinking "somewhat cartoonish", I won't disagree; that was the point, to an extent. "Novelty act" connotes something different to me.
